Understanding Water Poverty in Africa

The African Youth Water Forum (AYWF) successfully hosted its first virtual webinar on X Space, marking the beginning of our continental dialogue series on Africa's most pressing water challenges. The session, "Understanding Water Poverty in Africa," brought together young people, professionals, and water advocates to examine the realities of water poverty across the continent. Discussions explored its root causes, the social and economic impacts on communities, and the importance of youth-led action in advancing equitable access to safe water. As AYWF's inaugural virtual event, the webinar laid the foundation for meaningful conversations, cross-border collaboration, and youth engagement in promoting water security and water justice across Africa.
